- Thanks for falling upon my page. As you seek through it, I hope you find some kind of inspiration, or even if you need someone to talk to, don't be afraid to speak. I am a PUBLISHED author as well as a fulltime student at UIUC (University of Illinois @ Champaign-Urbana), and my major is Communications. My book "A Poet's Heart" can be found via this website in the bookstore and amazon.com. I market for Liberated Publishing, so if you need any help, or information about things feel free to contact me. I'm also a athlete who LOVES basketball. It relieves my stress if I ever have some, and it relaxes me. I also love to write poetry, in the sense that I'm a poet who is looking to get a lot done in my future. I am a black young female from Chicago's south side, but currently reside in the suburbs, where I have become a stronger, mature, and successful young lady. Through out life I've lost some, and gained some. I live on a mountain of faith, hope, loyalty, and peace. I am a rare individual, simple for the fact that I believe there are very few like me. Too often people nowadays blend in with the crowds because they want to fit in. Well personally, I'm a leader for myself, and if I leave positive footprints for my peers to follow, then I have succeeded in being a role model. In life you must remember that nothing is promised. Life is always what you make it, and half the time nothing comes easy. My advice to the world is :
“Go out and grab a hold of success. Look into the eyes of those that wish failure upon you, and tell them that their words don't matter. For actions speak louder than words. Don't prove to the world that you can, but rather prove to thyself……that you can.”
